Meet Shannon Mulligan, owner at Vast Results

My name is Shannon Mulligan. I do not currently participate in committees but am a co-leader of my roundtable group. I am a regular at the luncheons and have met one-on-one with many members.

Tell us about your business.

We are a business development firm that helps B2B companies wanting to get to the next level in revenue with laser-focused and fractional sales effort. We are an extension of their existing sales process.

What inspired you to get into your business?

I was laid off at 5 months pregnant from a national sales manager role and decided that the timing was right to strike out on my own and create a model that other moms could use and flourish under.

What are your three best practices or best tips that every NAWBO member needs to hear?

  1. Always be networking/prospecting. You never know where your next client will come from.
  2. Leverage the many online tools to automate portions of your sales process, but the telephone is STILL your most powerful tool.
  3. Follow up, Follow up, Follow up!

What does your future look like?

In 10 years after creating a sustainable agency style model for Moms to flourish, I will sell it all and open a yoga studio.

Read for both business and pleasure; pin things on Pinterest I will never do and lots of Yoga.
