Meet Robin Andes owner at Fit Interiors by Robin

My name is Robin Andes, owner at Fit Interiors by Robin.

Tell us how you are involved in NAWBO.

So far, I have not been able to attend the monthly meetings as I teach Fitness classes every day during the noon hour.  I have recently been placed in a Round Table and am looking forward to this being a rewarding opportunity.

Tell us about your business.

Fit Interiors by Robin is a Residential/Commercial Decorating/Home Staging Business that I run independently.

What inspired you to get into your business?

I was a stay at home mom while my children were young but, have always taught Fitness classes and Personal Trained part-time.  After my children grew up and went out on their own I decided to pursue another dream of mine, Interior Decorating. I took the educational courses needed to obtain my Certifications in Interior Decorating and Staging and started my own business.

What are your three best practices or best tips that every NAWBO member needs to hear?

  1. Always go for “IT” no matter how unsure or scary it may be!
  2. Always seek advice and constructive criticism from those who have been there!
  3. Believe in yourself no matter what others may say or think of you. Don’t listen to; you are too old, too young, too fat, too skinny, too quiet, too loud or too anything else, just be your authentic self!

What does your future look like?

Although I love my Interior Décor business, I am still very passionate about teaching fitness, so I hope to develop a plan to expand my endeavors through fitness to more of an outreach rather than only being contracted to teach at various facilities.  By doing so, I’m hoping to somehow incorporate both of my passions, fitness & Interior Décor, into one business.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband going to concerts with friends, traveling and anything that involves spending time with our grown sons!  I love working out, especially on the water; kayaking & Stand Up Paddle Boarding being two of my favorites! I’m also very passionate about wine education and can see my husband and I becoming involved in the winemaking process or ownership of some sort in our retirement.

What is your company website?

In the last five years, what new belief, behavior or habit has most improved your life?

So, this a very interesting question as I have just very recently made a significant lifestyle change!  I am not a morning person, I have always stated that I am a night owl! I’ve always admired people who could get up at the crack of dawn to start their day and wished I could turn my internal clock around!  Well, I was recently led to the book The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod and it’s changed my life!  I am now up at 5:00 a.m. getting stuff done that I always said I didn’t have time for and I’m loving it!!! I’m living my life with more purpose now and it’s amazing! Miracles do happen!!

What purchase of $100 or less has most positively impacted your life in the last six months (or recent memory)?

The book The Miracle Morning $11.49

What is the book (or books) you've given most as a gift, and why? Or what are books that have greatly influenced your life?
